Forums of Scientific Interest
DanORC hosts two Forums of Interest on scientific subjects relevant to obesity research. A 'Forum of Interest' in context of DanORC constitutes a number of partners who have a special interest and/or capacities in a specific area and meet to present and discuss this.
23 partners take part in DanORCs Forum of Interest on Inflammation that concentrates on inflammation and the relation between inflammation and obesity. The participating partners hold meetings with different intervals and present their research to each other and/or invite guest lectures. The following subjects are examples of subjects presented and discussed:
- Macronutrient interactions and adipose tissue inflammation
- Effects of physical activity on adipose tissue low-grade inflammation
- The clinical impact of systemic low-grade inflammation in cohort studies
- Luminex analyses
